ALPHA DELTA PI
ALPHA DELTA PI was founded as the first secret society for women in 1851 at Wesleyan College in Macon, Georgia -- the first college to grant degrees to women. It was originally known as The Adelphean Society, and shortly thereafter as Alpha Delta Phi until our chapter, Sigma, was chartered in March 1912 when the organization was renamed Alpha Delta Pi.
